Jacques Adnet rare pair of round wall mirrors clad in black leather with adjustable straps and original mirrored glass, France, 1950s. These mirrors have remained in completely original and very good condition with no significant damage or tears in the slightly worn leather. The original mirrored glass shows some oxidation or silvering which adds to the authenticity and charm of these rare pair of period mirrors. They are a fine example of iconic French post-war Adnet design in which pieces of furniture, lighting and accessories were meticulously clad in saddle-stitched leather. Adnet’s style of modern furnishings exhibited the avant-garde design and impeccable craftsmanship of French midcentury design which still resonates today.
