Rare and exquisite small coffee or side table in walnut, attributed to Paolo Buffa, 1940s. This rectangular coffee or cocktail table has a beautifully grained walnut wood top, intricately carved wood pattern apron and end in elegant tapering cabriole legs. Because of its height and scale, it can also be used as a side, end or occasional table. This graceful design is exemplary of Buffa’s earlier traditional Neoclassical works in the Art Deco style. All his handmade furniture during this period was constructed by skilled cabinetmakers and renowned artisans, most prominently Mario Quarti and Angelo Marelli.
